The two-week University Immersion Program (UIP) organized by Sichuan University is designed to convene faculties from all over the world to give short courses and lectures to both domestic and international students at both undergraduate and graduate levels. UIP was initiated in 2012 and now a regular long-term program. This program aims to bring together students worldwide so as to give all participants an opportunity to associate and make friends with each other, and stimulate their global awareness and inter-cultural communications.

Teachers' Opportunities

Sichuan University invites academics worldwide to submit Bachelor-level course proposals covering international knowledge, enlightening, inspiring and critical thinking that focus in interdisciplinary. 

LECTURING
Lecture should be taught in English. The invited faculty shall give at least one course (one credit, 16 academic hours).

PAYMENT
UIP will cover the travel and lodging costs and offer an honorarium for each course. In addition, some attractive social activities and local field trips will be available and covered by Sichuan University.

Students' Opportunities

The UIP at Sichuan University is designed to provide international students with the opportunity to gain campus experience in one of top 10 Chinese Universities and explore the unique West China Cultures. It offers a wide range of courses to meet the academic needs of students studying abroad and intensive Chinese cultural studies. Previous Chinese  language study is not required. All courses will be taught in   English.   Sichuan   University  is   located in Chengdu, hometown of Pandas with many important cultural, historical and natural attractions.

SUBSITIES
Sichuan University covers a maximum of 3000 yuan RMB for the flight travel. Free accommodation is provided by the university plus a daily living allowance for each student. Activities organized by the university/college during the program are free.
