Brief Guideline to Research

The College of Electrical Engineering possesses a strong faculty team with senior and young experts covering research areas in electrical engineering, automation, communication engineering, information science, computer science.

While CEE actively promote inter-discipline researches and cooperation, it also works unceasingly on fundamental scientific researches to contribute to power industry especially development of southwest and northwest region of China. Since year 2000, CEE has already undertaken 17 projects supported by national funds such as “973” National Key Basic Research Plan, and National Natural Science Foundation, 16 projects support by funds of MOE and Sichuan Province. During these past years, CEE won Best Scientific Improvement Award of Sichuan Province for more than 10 times. Many researches are of significant theoretical and economical value, and be widely adopted in various industries, which made great contribution to development of economy and society.

At present CEE has an Intelligent Electric Power Grid Key Laboratory of Sichuan Province, several research teams engaged in electrical power system stability and control, power marketing, power quality and control techniques, signal and information processing, and power theory and new techniques, etc. In past three years, CEE has completed big amount of research projects including 7 national funds sponsored researches, 9 provincial funds supported researches and more than 160 corporations entrusted projects with a research budget of more than 49.3 millions. 2 research fruits applied for innovation patent successfully. 400 papers are published, 6 of them are elected by SCI and more than 160 papers are selected by EI.
