Prof. Su Shiung Lam毕业于英国剑桥大学,获化学工程博士学位,现任马来西亚登嘉楼大学热带水产与渔业研究所教授。他的研究专长涵盖热化学过程、废弃物处理与生物质精炼,特别专注于热解与微波加热技术的应用,目前致力于将生物质和废弃物转化为生物炭和生物燃料产品。
Prof.Lam在科研转化方面成果卓著,已获得二十余项科研资助,拥有多项发明专利,成功创办衍生企业并实现研究团队发明成果的产业化。其团队在相关领域已发表两百余篇学术论文,刊载于包括《Nature》《Science》《Applied Catalysis B: Environmental》《Chemical Engineering Journal》等国际顶尖期刊。
报告摘要
Microwave pyrolysis offers an electrified and energy-efficient pathway for converting biomass and waste into valuable products. This talk presents the journey from laboratory research to real-world deployment, highlighting key challenges in scale-up, including heat transfer limitations and reactor design complexity. Case studies from Malaysia and perspectives on opportunities in China are discussed. Beyond technology, the talk emphasizes the importance of translating research into meaningful impact, demonstrating how scientific innovation can contribute to sustainable industry and environmental solutions.
