Associate Professor Zhang Jing is working in the department of medical information engineering, college of electrical engineering and information technology, Sichuan University. He received his B.E. degree from Tsinghua University, P.R. China, and his Ph.D degree from National University of Singapore. His current research interests include medical image ideo processing, control engineering and computer-aided surgery.

Dr. Zhang Jing has participated in and chaired a number of national research and technical research projects in Singapore and China. He has published more than 40 papers in international journals and conferences (including IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging). He also has two international patents related to surgical simulation system. Since returning to China in 2012, as a project leader, he has chaired five scientific research projects, including one from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (800,000 RMB), one from Department of scientific and technological application in Sichuan Province (100,000 RMB), one of the 863 sub-projects (200,000 RMB), and one from the Ministry of Education (35,000 RMB)
