Ms Shu Zhaojun, born in March 1962, works as an associate professor and graduate advisor.

Areas of Research:

1. Study of intelligent grid monitoring, control, distributed power generation, and connection;

2. Study and application of the testing technology and automation equipment, instrument, controlling appliances and PLC.

Profile

During 1983 -- 1994, Professor Shu worked at Chengdu Research Institute for Machine Tool Appliances as electrical engineer mainly involving technological development, industrial computers management, information of science and technology, planning, criteria, PLC and computer application; independent chair over or participation in several ministerial level research projects, of which “study of products revitalizing targets of machinery industry (2000)”, a project of the Ministry of Machine Building and Electronics, awarded the 2nd technological advancement prize at the national level and the 1st advancement prize at the ministerial level. From 1995 to present, she has been teaching and researching at CEEIT as an associate professor and graduate advisor, during which she has assumed independently and participated in some 30 scientific research projects, and 7 teaching reform tasks. She has also published 39 papers and 6 books with one book being written. She acts as the executive director with Chengdu City Automation Association with a membership of the Electrical Engineering Society.

4. Study of the infrared thermal-imaging diagnostic technique for the heating problem of the enclosed high voltage switches;  a crossing research projects; as the project manager;

5. Research and manufacturing of high precision resistance setting devices;  a crossing research project; as the project manager;

6. Participation in 14 projects of hydropower and transformer stations’ effects on assessment; crossing research projects; the first leading researcher;

7. The first leading researcher in charge of electrical appliances for the technological research project of  the Ministry of Machine Building and Electronics, the machine tools and electrical appliances in “study of products revitalizing targets of machinery industry (2000)”; the project has been awarded the Scientific and Technological Advancement prizes -- a second prize at the national level and the first at the ministerial level;  

8. The first leading researcher for the electrical part of the nine machine tools and electrical appliances specific ministerial level scientific research projects.
