Rencent work of Electronic and Information Engineering Alumni

1. It’s a heritage that the alumni of Electronic and Information Engineering hold a series of activities to invite the alumni graduated for 10 years and 20years to return to their alma mater.In 2009,it successfully organized the alumni from grade 85 and 95 to return.These activities greatly promoted the feelings between alumni and alma mater and deepen the friendship between them.

2. Our mission is to services our alumni，build the communication platform between the alumni and their alma mater. Through holding various forms of activities, on one hand, alma mater can timely transmit its achievements and development to the alumni so as to provide resources for them; on the other hand, alumni have the opportunity to repay their alma mater. In response to this mission,the alumni in our college set up “Sichuan University Sanxin Scholarship”, “Sichuan University Yubochuang Scholarship” , “Sichuan University Jiuzhou Group Scholarship”. These measures greatly encourage the college students in the school to work hard.

3. We held a celebration of 50 ^th anniversary of establishing the Radio Department in 2010.In the name of this celebration we organized series of activities inviting famous alumnus returning back to school giving lectures to our fellow students,including Wang Jiasheng,the chief designer and commander of the communication satellite and relay satellite of chinese space technology department,and Zhu Jingkang,the chief of expert team of personal communication and University of Science and Technology of China doctoral supervision.

4. Actively using alumnus resources.After the May 12 ^th earthquake and the world economy crisis,the unemployment rate was high and it was very hard for our newly graduated students to get a job.Depending on our long term established connections with alumnus,we invited mang famous companies and corporations to campus to have job interviews with our students,including Changhong Group、Jiuzhou Group andjingmei Group. The employment rate for our department has been No.1 for the last couples of years.
