The Laboratory
The Signal and Information Processing Laboratory was established in 2008, and so far a number of research results have been achieved. The research capability of the lab has been growing dramatically with a lab area of 500 squared meters.
Main Research Areas
With the fundamental theories of signal and information processing, the research activities of the lab mainly focus on the following areas based on the adaptive signal processing and the space-time signal processing.
1) Adaptive antennas and MIMO technology
2) Microphone array system
3) Acoustic echo cancellation
4) Audio signal analysis and speech enhancement
5) Interference suppression in wireless communication systems
6) System identification and signal detection
7) Blind signal separation

Research Activities
The research activities of the lab primarily include the signal processing theories and methods for audio and communication systems. Some of the research results have been published on the international authoritative journal IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology as well as other national and internationally renowned academic journals. The research projects conducted in the lab on adaptive antennas have received the grants from China National Natural Science Foundation for several times.
