Research & Teaching Interests
She mainly focuses on the research and teaching of electromagnetic field and microwave technologies. Her research interests include numerical simulation in electromagnetics, interaction between electromagnetic wave and complex media, design of applicators and probes for biomedical applications, and antennas design.

Professional Experiences & Activities
Prof. Yan joined the department of Radio and Electronics of Sichuan University in July, 1996. She is currently a Professor in the School of Electronics and Information Engineering at Sichuan University. From Mar. 2008 to Mar. 2009 she was a visiting scholar of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, where she worked on wave propagation mechanisms in multi-layer structures frequently used for intra-chip wireless communications. She is now an IEEE member and a Senior Member of the Chinese Institute of Electronics.
She has devoted to the research on electromagnetic field and microwave technology. She took apart in the projects funded by Major Fund, and Key Fund of National Natural Science Fund, National Fund “863” and achieved 2nd National Award for Technological Invention nominated by Education Ministry in 2004 and 2nd National Award for Technological Invention in 2006 respectively. She holds 7 national invention patents , among which 5 were approved. She has published more than 30 journal papers, among which 10 has been indexed by SCI and 21 Indexed by EI.
