Areas of Research

Smart Grid Status Monitoring, Superconducting Energy Storage Theory and Application Technology, Intelligent Testing and Control, Robotics, Signal and Information Processing

Professor Lei has long been engaged in teaching and research work in intelligent testing and control, robotics, signal and information processing, superconducting energy storage theory and application technology, and smart grid status monitoring. He mainly teaches graduate courses including modern testing technology and DSP technology, and undergraduate courses including circuit theory, basic electrical engineering technology, intelligent test equipment, and microcontroller. Professor Lei has led or played a principal role in over 20 various projects in intelligent detection & control and smart grid status monitoring, including National Natural Science Fund projects, “7th Five-Year Plan Project”, “8th Five-Year Plan Project”, Railways Ministry research projects. He has published more than 30 academic papers. Professor Lei presided over more than 10 projects including provincial-level teaching reform projects, ordinary projects and school-level teaching reform projects, published over 10 papers in teaching reform, and compiled 8 state-commissioned textbooks, one of which is a National-level “11th Five-Year Plan” Textbook.
