Male, born in 1965, and native to Guanghan, Sichuan Province, Professor Zhang Dairun studied and received a bachelor's degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering of Shanghai Jiao Tong University from 1983 to 1987. He worked on motor design at Dongfang Electric Machinery Factory from 1987 to 1989 and pursued a doctoral program at Moscow Power Institute from 1989 to 1994. From 1994 to 1997, he was engaged in postdoctoral research at Southwest Jiaotong University. Since 1997, he has been involved in teaching and research in power electronics and electrical engineering at Sichuan University. In 1998, he was appointed Professor. In 2006, he was named an academic and technological leader candidate in Sichuan Province. In 2004, he won second prize from the China Construction Science and Technology Awards set up by the Ministry of Construction. He holds 3 patents for invention and 1 patent for utility models. Professor Zhang hs published more than 100 academic papers, and co-authored Power Electronics Technology and Guide to Studies in Electromechanics. He is director of the China Power Supply Society, editorial board member of Journal of Power Supply and Power Supply Technology and Application, director of the power electronics committee of the Chinese Electrotechnical Society (CES), editorial board member of Power Electronical Technology, executive director of the Sichuan Provincial Power Electronics Committee, and vice chairman of the Electrical Machinery Committee of the Sichuan Provincial Electrotechnical Society. Under his guidance, over 50 graduate students have graduated.

● High-frequency switching power supply and special power technology;

● Power generation technology for renewable energy.
